Who We Are
JeTSeT (Jewish Twenties and Thirties at Shaaray Tefila) is a group for young adults who are looking for a positive connection to Jewish life and wish to meet other Jews their age.  It is an open group for singles and couples, and it is not necessary to be a Temple member to participate. 
 
Programs include an exciting Shabbat Unplugged service with live music one Friday each month at 7:30 pm, as well as celebrations of Jewish holidays, social and cultural events, and opportunities to do tikkun olam (repairing the world) through volunteer projects.  Those under 30 who choose to join Shaaray Tefila pay only $18 the first year.

Shabbat Unplugged
Looking for a different way to welcome in Shabbat with people your own age? Join Rabbi Josh Strom and a full band for a new way to celebrate Shabbat. With music, songs and prayer, and an innovative prayer book oriented towards a new generation of young Jews seeking meaning and spirituality from Shabbat.

Holiday Parties
This year we have three social events planned:  
  • Following Tashlich services by the East River on Rosh HaShanah afternoon (Saturday, September 19), we’ll get together at Mustang Grill on Second Avenue and 85th Street for our annual Tashlich Party, where we’ll celebrate like it’s 5770!
  • We'll have a party to celebrate Chanukah during sometime between December 11-18.  Details TBA.
  • Our annual Purim Karaoke Bash (costumes preferred!) will be held at Iggy's Karaoke Bar on 2nd Avenue at 76th Street on Saturday, February 27 at approximately 8:30 pm following the Purimspiel at Shaaray Tefila. 
High Holy Days with JeTSeT
Please join us as we welcome in 5770 at Temple Shaaray Tefila’s High Holy Day Services.
 
If you are under 30, we invite you to join Temple Shaaray Tefila for the first year at a special fee of $18 for an individual and $36 for a couple. You receive all benefits of membership, including High Holy Day tickets.
  • Rosh Hashanah Services will be on Friday and Saturday, September 18 and 19.
  • Yom Kippur Services will be on Sunday, September 27 (Kol Nidre) and Monday, September 28.
