OUR SUMMER HIGHLIGHTS . . .

Though summer brings a slower pace to congregational life, our worship and learning opportunities continue throughout July and August, and we look forward to welcoming members and visitors throughout the summer months.

Erev Shabbat services follow the regular schedule each Friday evening, and our Shabbat Morning Minyan and Torah study continue every Saturday.  You will find exact times for each service on our website calendar.  Please note that we allow our main sanctuary to "rest" during the summer, and Erev Shabbat services are held in the more intimate Raisler Room.

Wednesday Torah Talk will meet each week, and Midtown Torah will gather on July 2 and 16.

Erev Tisha b'Av is Saturday, August 9.  The 9th day of Av commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem as well as other persecutions and national tragedies throughout Jewish history.  Join us at 7:00 pm for a service and study session.

Our summer Reel Israel Film Series returns on five Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm.  Mark your calendar for July 2, 16 and 30, and August 13 and 27.  Each film is a recent award-winner from Israel (with subtitles); you'll find the films and their descriptions on the website calendar.

Klezmer Jam will meet this month on Wednesday, July 16 at 7:00 pm. Anyone who plays an instrument is welcome to join the musicians, and all those who enjoy listening to klezmer are welcome to attend.  Please note that the next Klezmer Jam will be September 18 and will return to the regular Thursday schedule.

During July and August, we offer Open Houses and Tours for prospective new members.  Reservations are not required; click here for more information.  Visitors are always welcome to join us for worship services throughout the year.

Be sure to check our website Calendar and weekly eNews for complete listings of all upcoming programs.  Our monthly bulletin, The Messenger, is not published in July and August, but look for your September issue in late August.

Have a wonderful summer!
