Book of Remembrance
Yom Kippur 5773 ▪ 2012
Judaism considers the human capacity we call “memory” to be a gift from God—a unique power through which we may confer immortality upon those we love who have died.
The very memories we cherish most can also be the most painful, but we can sustain our fond memories as sources of comfort and inspiration.
Our Book of Remembrance, distributed on Yom Kippur, provides a traditional and meaningful opportunity to memorialize our family and friends through an act of tzedakah - a gift to support the synagogue.
May this year be a sweet one for you.
The Book 5773 was published and distributed in September 2012. To receive a copy, please ocntact Ann Targownik, Director of Development at 212 535-8008 x 271 or development@tstnyc.org.
