Sari Luck Schneider has been the Early Childhood Director since the nursery school’s founding in 1993. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Sari has been living in New York City since 1973.

Sari was an exchange student in Israel during high school, attending an Ulpan that summer.  She received a
BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and had a double major of Hebrew and anthropology.  She also received a Master's degree in education from the UW, Madison.

Sari was a teacher at Rodeph Sholom and the first director of the Columbus Preschool before joining us at Shaaray Tefila.

She is a past President of the Jewish Early Childhood Association (JECA) of the Board of Jewish Education as well as a past co-chair of the Independent School Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY). Sari is currently Vice President of Communications for the Early Childhood Educators of Reform Judaism (ECERJ).  She also serves on the Committee of the Trustees of ISAAGNY and on the URJ Joint Commission on Lifelong Jewish Learning.

Sari and her husband, Robert Schneider, feel fortunate to be able to enjoy their children and grandchildren here in New York City.
